Welcome to our June progress update from tropical Pemba! The past months have been filled with intensive work on our apartments, and we have great news – Building A is nearing completion and will officially be finished later this month! Work on our other buildings, as well as on the restaurant, is progressing steadily.
Building A: On Monday, June 17th, we completed the plastering of Building A’s facade. Painting works have commenced, and the building is expected to be ready for handover by the end of this month.
Building B: Work on the walls of the third floor is ongoing, and we are preparing to cast the penthouse slab just before the weekend. Building B boasts impressive views of the sea from three sides and tropical forests at the rear. We anticipate completing the penthouse by the end of this month.
Building D: We have completed the second-floor slab in Building D. The team is preparing to start masonry work, which we plan to finish later this week. Apartments in Building D offer stunning sea views from three sides and forest views at the rear.
Building C: Excavation of the foundations for Building C is complete. This building will feature an exceptional rooftop swimming pool.
Restaurant: We have begun work on the first restaurant at Cocco Lagoon. It will be adjacent to Building C, featuring dining areas, a bar, and a yoga studio on the upper floors for yoga sessions.
Staff Quarters: This week, we are scheduled to cast the basement slab, allowing for further progress. We have decided to add additional rooms in the basement living quarters, increasing the hotel’s staff accommodation capacity by one-third.
